Family Service Offices

The Salvation Army assists over 2,000 individuals and families each month in several local neighborhoods in San Francisco as well as a main distribution warehouse for special events. It is funded through generous San Francisco donors, both individual and corporate companies. Many of the services could not be provided without the help of hundreds of volunteers who selflessly give of their time and talents.

There are currently five offices with Family Service Caseworkers in San Francisco available to answer questions, provide local, everyday assistance and referrals as necessary.

Some of the assistance available includes:

  • *REACH (PG&E Assistance)
  • *Season of Sharing (Rental Assistance)
  • Clothing and furniture vouchers
  • Spiritual Counseling
  • Weekly Food
  • *Childcare assistance
  • *Rehabilitation Services
  • Information/Assistance for seasonal assistance such as Back to School supplies and Christmas Toy & Joy Shop.

For specific locations or further information, please email us or call (415) 553-3568

*Programs are run in association with other agencies. Some restrictions may apply.

Service Center Warehouse Special Events

Just South of Market, off of 6th Street, in the heart of San Francisco's notorious Tenderloin District, you will find The Salvation Army Service Center. Striving daily to make a positive influence on the community and its residents, it becomes a place of help and hope for people all over the city several times a year. It's a warehouse that turns into a Winter Wonderland during the Christmas season, and Information Fair at Easter, and a Back-to-School Department Store in August.
